About The Role:

The Assistant Controller will play a crucial role in the day-to-day financial operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.

This position will also contribute to shaping the finance function within our dynamic start-up company.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee daily financial activities, including assisting in monthly closing, financial statement preparation under US GAAP, cash-flow management, and budget vs. actual analysis for our company and US subsidiary.
  • ERP Implementation: Support the ERP implementation process.
  • Financial Controls: Support in implementing and maintaining financial controls and procedures.
  • Reporting: Assist with the preparation of the monthly management reporting package, including analysis of period trends and highlights. Take a significant part in the process of closing the reporting periods (monthly, quarterly, and annually) under US GAAP
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and tax return reports
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with: US GAAP, statutory guidelines, internal financial policies and procedures, international regulations, including Federal Tax, State Tax, Sales Tax, and VAT.
  • Project Support: Support accounting and finance-related projects as needed.
  • External Collaboration: Work closely with external service providers (bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and audit team)
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to offer financial analysis, reports and recommendations, supporting planning initiatives

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of working accounting experience (including internship)
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes
  • CPA with Big 4 experience
  • Full professional fluency (written and verbal) in both English and Hebrew
  • Strong knowledge of daily accounting and finance operations
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced technology company environment
  • Expertise in preparing financial statements according to US GAAP
  • Good knowledge of Israeli tax and tax reporting experience
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent Excel and MS Office skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with Stripe and Mesh Payments
  • Familiarity with SaaS metrics
  • Experience working with Priority software
  • Experience working with NetSuite
